Hello and welcome!✨ I'm so happy you’re here. This blog will be a little corner of the internet where I share my art, my journey as an illustrator and the thoughts and inspirations behind my cozy creations. I also want to share inspiration and tips for drawing, journaling and home decor - three of my biggest passions besides reading romance books.💕 

And today, I want to tell you the story of how Luiklee’s Cozy Worlds came to life. That's the name I chose for these little cute miniature places, I love to draw.🥰

How It All Started

The idea for my cozy worlds came to me when I started thinking about my future. I knew that I wanted to be an artist, but something was missing—I hadn’t truly found my own artistic voice yet. I kept asking myself: What could be “my thing”?🤔

Then, a memory surfaced.

As a child and teenager, I often felt overwhelmed and stressed. The world felt big, loud, and sometimes even threatening. To cope, I started to dream. I imagined lovely, peaceful places where I could escape and feel safe.🥰 These little imaginary worlds became my secret sanctuary.

But as I grew older, I forgot about this strategy. Life got busier, and I lost touch with that comforting practice—until my therapist brought it back to my attention. During an exercise, I was asked to create a beautiful garden in my mind.🌳 A place that belonged only to me, where I could decide who was allowed in. That moment sparked something deep inside me.✨

I realized: I want to create small places of comfort and safety—not just for myself, but for others too.🩷

A Safe Space in Miniature Worlds

That’s how my Cozy Worlds were born. Tiny, enclosed spaces filled with warmth and magic—like the Polly Pockets I adored as a child. These little worlds are not just cute illustrations; they are reminders that we all deserve a place where we feel safe, at peace, and in control of our surroundings.

Setting boundaries has always been an important (and sometimes difficult) lesson for me, so it felt natural to create these enclosed, self-contained places where peace and joy can exist undisturbed. I hope that when you see my art, you feel a sense of comfort—like stepping into a small, cozy haven where you can breathe, relax, and just be.🧘‍♀️
